What are the effects of drug addiction? Many people that come to treatment for addictions are also suffering from underlying emotional disorders. These may include:

  • anxiety disorders
  • depressionl
  • ADHD
  • bipolar
  • relationship issues
  • mental illness
Often, the above issues have been there before the addiction started - in fact, many people report using alcohol and/or drugs to cope with these or to escape and cover up these problems. There are also times when alcohol and drug abuse can unleash these disorders or make them actually worse.

Whatever the case may be, it is important to address these in the recovery process.

As licensed professional counselors, we bring the expertise to address these underlying issues. We also refer individuals to the necessary professional to address these when further specialization is needed. Our goal is to give you your life back - breaking fee of the addiction but also addressing the underlying issues that have been covered up for so long.
